Privacy notice
This site uses no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising tags. Nothing is stored on your device, and we do not build a profile of anyone who visits.
1. Who we are
Veritrax is a trading name of Rovefree Limited, which is the data controller for personal data collected through veritrax.xyz.
- Registered in England and Wales, company number 06781009
- Contact: hello@veritrax.xyz
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to.
2. What this notice covers
How we handle personal data when you visit veritrax.xyz or contact us. It does not cover any third-party website we link to, which will have its own arrangements.
3. What we collect, and why
Information you send us
If you email us we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include — typically your name, your role, your organisation and what you would like to discuss.
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry, and discussing whether to work together | Legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — replying to an enquiry you started. You may object at any time. |
Technical information
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and the time of the request. We use these to keep the site available and protect it from abuse. We do not use them to identify individuals.
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Operating, securing and maintaining the site | Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — running a secure website |
Typefaces
The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your IP address is transmitted to Google, which may process it outside the UK. Google's handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy. We do not receive any information from Google about your visit.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use none. There is no analytics package, no tag manager, no session recording, no advertising or measurement technology, and no local storage. Because we place nothing on your device, no consent banner is required.
5. Automated decision-making
We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data, do not share it for advertising, and do not disclose it to anyone except:
- our hosting provider, which processes server logs on our behalf
- our email provider, which handles messages sent to us
- professional advisers, or authorities, where we are legally required to disclose
Each acts under a written contract and only on our instructions. We will tell you which providers we use if you ask.
7. Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations, or on the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses, to protect it. Details of the safeguards in place are available on request.
8. How long we keep it
We do not keep personal data for longer than we need it. In practice:
- Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as it remains relevant to a possible or actual working relationship, and deleted once it does not.
- Records of a business relationship are kept for its duration, and afterwards for as long as we are required to keep them for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
- Server logs are held only for the short period our hosting provider retains them for security and operational purposes.
You can ask us at any time what we hold and request that it be deleted.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- be told what we hold about you, and receive a copy
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have data erased, in certain circumstances
- restrict how we use it, in certain circumstances
- object to processing based on legitimate interests, including at any time
- receive data you gave us in a portable format, in certain circumstances
- withdraw consent, where consent is the basis we rely on
To exercise any of these, email hello@veritrax.xyz. We will respond within one month. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
11. Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and revise the version number and date above. Material changes will be flagged on the page.
